Teen Driver Flies Off Tulsa Bridge, Injures Toddler in Shocking Crash

A dramatic early morning crash in 📍Tulsa left a vehicle overturned on a busy interstate and a young child hospitalized after the car plunged from an overpass.

According to Fox News, police say the incident unfolded just after 5 a.m. Saturday, near Southwest Boulevard, a car carrying three people went off course and ultimately fell onto Interstate 244 below.

When officers with the 📍Tulsa Police Department arrived, they found the vehicle upside down in the eastbound lanes.

Dispatchers had already relayed a troubling detail from the scene.

They reported hearing a child crying.

Authorities said a 17-year-old driver, an 18-year-old passenger, and a 1-year-old child were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Investigators believe the sequence of events began when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign.

Police said the vehicle then entered a slight curve in the road but did not complete the turn, instead striking a curb.

That impact launched the car into the air.

From there, the vehicle traveled over a drainage ditch before crashing through a barrier along the overpass.
