On his show Monday, podcast host Joe Rogan called out Democratsâ attempt to win over male voters, saying men just want leaders who âarenât owned.â
During former Vice President Kamala Harrisâ campaign, the Democratic presidential candidate struggled to connect with votersâ top concerns and failed to appeal to key party voting blocs, such as black and Hispanic males. On âThe Joe Rogan Experience,â Rogan highlighted how some pundits have attempted to paint him as part of a âmassive right-wing network,â adding that Democrats donât understand how to appeal to men.
âShut the fuck up. Like thatâs not â You just donât want to admit that organically thereâs a bunch of people that feel very different than you. Also, they donât like you!â Rogan said. âYou donât represent a man to a lot of men. When youâre one of those guys that talks in upspeak, âWe have to understand thereâs a whole right-wing ecosystem, and itâs heavily funded and the propaganda that theyâre pushing. We have to fight back against that. We need someone of our own.ââ
Harris got backlash after she flip-flopped on left-wing policies she previously espoused. Her campaign ads also came under the spotlight. One of her campaign ads attempted to appeal to men in a 90-second video, which showed several men repeatedly declaring they were âman enoughâ to support womenâs rights and not be âafraid of women.â

Rogan went on to say how a 17-year-old male would not relate to a Democratic pundit.
âLike, no fucking kid whoâs on a basketball court whoâs 17 years old is looking at his phone,â Rogan added. âItâs like looking at going to college next year and looking at getting a job someday and being a man is looking at that and going, âWhat the fuck is this?ââ
âHeâs hanging out with his bros and theyâre like, âThis is fucking bullshit. This is bullshit.â Then you could see a man whoâs not owned. Iâm not owned. I can do whatever I want. Thatâs what they want,â Rogan said. âThey want to just be a man and be a nice man. You could be a nice man. You could be a masculine man and be nice.â
In addition to Harrisâ failed campaign, the former vice president earned 7 million fewer votes than Biden in the 2020 race, according to The New York Times. Despite finding some counties where she met or exceeded Bidenâs vote totals, she failed to match President Donald Trumpâs gains, falling short in three of the seven key swing states and in 80% of counties nationwide.
