Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld slammed Democrats Tuesday evening for “giving Hitler a makeover” as they continue comparing President Donald Trump to the Nazi leader.

Since Trump launched his 2024 campaign, Democrats have suggested he’s comparable to Adolf Hitler and labeled him a fascist. While discussing the ongoing rhetoric on “The Five,” Gutfeld said Democrats no longer have a message.

“First of all, you got Al Gore and Larry David comparing the Trump administration to Hitler,” Gutfeld said. “They haven’t been arrested for that. So that doesn’t help their argument, does it? They don’t care. The comparison still happens despite millions voting for this Hitlerian person.”

“I’m counting among his supporters, Jewish leaders and philanthropists, RFK Jr. and his wife Cheryl, who was in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Those are all apparently Nazi collaborators. It won’t matter because, to these lazy minds, calling somebody Hitler isn’t a big deal to them,” Gutfeld added. “They’ve reduced the smear to just people that they don’t like. It’s no longer a mass murderer. So who knew liberals would be the one who gives Hitler a makeover? That was just some guy you don’t get along with.”

While both former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris previously suggested links between Hitler and Trump, Democrats ramped up their rhetoric as the campaigns neared Election Day. During an October 2024 CNN town hall, Harris told Anderson Cooper she believes Trump is a fascist.

Gutfeld went on to say that Democrats’ new attitude of “dark woke” is comparable to a “new coffee brand at the Starbucks menu,” before calling out the party’s “identity politics.”

“We’ve talked about the fact that they don’t have any ideas, and we point this out. The reason is because underneath, whatever is generating their ideas is an ideology that prevents you from thinking outside your failed ideas and thinking of new ones,” Gutfeld said. “Of course, that’s identity politics. It creates a tiny, confined space, and it tells you that the outside world is contaminated.”

The Fox host then compared Democrats’ “identity politics” to attending a “beautiful party” with a “friend” who repeatedly says, “You’re going to hate it.”

“So behind this adherence to identity politics is ultimately a fear of this, that your entire mindset has been a waste. It’s the sunk cost fallacy that I bring up a lot. A sunk cost of a bad relationship is not a reason to stay in a bad relationship,” Gutfeld added. “It’s why wokeism, like a drug or like a violent spouse, will say, ‘If you ever leave me, you’ll die.’ It’s why when people leave the left, the left turns on them, just like an angry spouse.”

In recent jabs at the president and his administration, former Vice President Al Gore — during San Francisco Climate Week on Tuesday — compared Trump’s “ongoing attacks on liberty” to Nazi Germany, according to NBC News. Meanwhile, writer and director Larry David mocked comedian Bill Maher’s recent dinner with Trump at the White House in a Monday op-ed for The New York Times.
