Tensions between the United States and Iran have increasingly played out not only through official statements but also through propaganda campaigns, online messaging, and threats aimed at prominent American figures. According to multiple news reports, those messages have now expanded to include First Lady Melania Trump.
The New York Post reported that a newly circulated video associated with Iranian messaging encouraged attacks against the first lady by depicting her daily routines and suggesting possible methods of targeting her.
According to the report, the video shows Melania Trump traveling in a motorcade and visiting locations in New York City where she is known to shop. It allegedly describes those outings as “suitable for operations by global freedom fighters.”
The Times of Israel similarly reported that the video identifies several Manhattan stores frequented by the first lady and points to signs that could indicate she is preparing to visit, including the reported removal of trash cans from surrounding streets before her arrival.
The reports state that the video goes even further by discussing hypothetical methods of harming the first lady, including poisoning clothing through the use of a nerve agent and suggesting that individuals connected to her wardrobe could be bribed. Neither publication reported that any such plot had been carried out or that authorities had identified an imminent operational threat.
The messaging did not stop with the first lady.
According to the Post, the video also referenced Barron Trump, stating, “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”
Melania Trump and Barron Trump receive full-time protection from the U.S. Secret Service, as do other members of the president’s immediate family. Security is also maintained at locations regularly used by the Trump family, including the White House, Trump Tower in New York, the Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, and Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
The reported video follows a series of other provocative images and displays that have been linked to Iranian messaging in recent weeks.
According to the New York Post, one billboard displayed images of Melania Trump, Barron Trump, and Ivanka Trump portrayed as deceased, with the word “KILLED” written above them in English alongside the phrase, “Hey, terrorist! Get ready to die.”
The newspaper also reported on earlier billboards depicting President Donald Trump and members of his family above flag-draped coffins with the slogan “Blood for Blood,” as well as another display featuring an image of the president accompanied by the words, “We Kill Trump.”
