Tragedy Strikes: NASCAR Legend Greg Biffle and Family Confirmed Dead

A private jet crash claimed the lives of former NASCAR driver 🏁Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and their two children Thursday morning in North Carolina, sending shockwaves through the racing community.

According to the New York Post, the accident occurred around 10:15 a.m. ET at Statesville Regional Airport, a hub frequently used by NASCAR teams and corporate travelers, officials confirmed.

Rep. Richard Hudson confirmed the deaths and expressed his grief.

“I am devastated by the loss of Greg, Cristina, and their children, and my heart is with all who loved them,” Hudson said. “They were friends who lived their lives focused on helping others. Greg was a great NASCAR champion who thrilled millions of fans. But he was an extraordinary person as well, and will be remembered for his service to others as much as for his fearlessness on the track.”

Biffle, 55, widely known as “The Biff,” earned a reputation as one of NASCAR’s top competitors, securing a spot among the sport’s 75 greatest drivers.

He won the 1998 Rookie of the Year award and the 2000 championship in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, followed by a 2001 Rookie of the Year title and a 2002 championship in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He became the first driver to claim titles in both series.

Over his career, Biffle recorded 19 victories in 515 Cup Series starts, including six top-10 finishes and a second-place standing in 2015. He also notched 20 wins in the Xfinity Series and 17 in the Craftsman Truck Series, including two triumphs at the legendary Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.
