Former President Trump, while speaking at two events to combat antisemitism, said if he loses the presidential election, Jewish Americans would be to blame, per The Hill.
The Republican presidential candidate said he has 40% support among Jewish Americans, while the 60% support Kamala Harris are voting for the āenemy.ā
āIn my opinion, the Jewish people would have a lot to do with a loss, if Iām at 40%,ā Trump said at a āFighting Antisemitismā event hosted by Israeli-American Republican Miriam Adelson at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
Trump was also the key-note speaker at the Israeli American Conference and he repeated his views.
āIf I donāt win this election ā and Jewish people would have a lot to do with that, 60% are voting for the enemy ā Israel will cease to exist in two years,ā Trump said. āI believe Iām 100% rightā¦. If I do win, Israel will be safe and secure, and weāll stop the toxic poison of antisemitism.ā
Trumpās comments did not go over well with Vice President Kamala Harris supporters.
āTreating Jews and Israel as political footballs makes Jews, Israel, and all of us less safe,ā Amy Spitalnick, CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, said to The Forward.
āDividing Jews into āgoodā and ābadā camps and engaging in dual loyalty tropes further normalizes antisemitism. Anyone who cares about Jewish safety should call it out,ā she said. āThis is not partisan Politics ā itās about the fundamental safety of the Jewish community.ā
Alyssa Farrah Griffin, a former Trump administration official, posted X, formerly Twitter: āIf any other national politician said: āthe Jewish people would have a lot to do with a lossā ā to preemptively blame Jews for a potential loss ā their career & candidacy would be over. How people continue to ignore this is scary.ā

Andrew Weinstein, who served as a delegate to the United Nations for the Biden administration, echoed those remarks.
