Former President Donald Trump says that according to President Joe Biden’s standards, he should resign.
In a statement on Monday, Trump said, “Biden said that he was going to ‘beat the virus,’ but instead, the virus has beaten him — and badly. Far more people died this year than last, despite tremendous help from vaccines and therapeutics developed under ‘Trump.'”
“He said anybody with his results should leave office. Well Joe, what are you waiting for!” he added.

During the final presidential debate in Oct. 2020, Biden noted that the death toll had crossed 220,000 at the time. He said, “Anyone who’s responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the coronavirus led to the deaths of 377,883 Americans in 2020.
As of Monday, at least 786,964 Americans have died from the virus, which means 409,081 people have died from COVID-19 in 2021 with just under a month to go.
