President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday that he is “grateful” for Bill Gates’ recent statements on climate change and declared victory over what he dubbed the “climate change hoax.”
Gates critiqued the climate alarmist view on Tuesday, writing that “there’s a doomsday view of climate change that goes like this: In a few decades, cataclysmic climate change will decimate civilization. … Fortunately for all of US, this view is wrong.” Trump has been an outspoken critic of climate change policy, and, in front of the United Nations General Assembly in September, called it the “greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”
