Former President Donald Trumpâs daughter-in-law Lara Trump is dismissing his reported belief that he will somehow be âreinstatedâ as president by August.
âFox & Friendsâ co-host Brian Kilmeade asked Lara Trump on Thursday about reports that the former president is telling people he will be returned to the White House.
âAs far as I know, there are no plans for Donald Trump to be in the White House in August. Maybe thereâs something I donât know,â she responded.
She added, âI think that that is a lot of folks getting a little worked up about something just because maybe there wasnât enough push back from the Republican side. So, no, I have not heard any plans for Donald Trump to be installed in the White House in August.â

After Donald Trump lost the presidential election in November, he made unfounded claims that there was widespread fraud that tilted the results in President Joe Bidenâs favor.
Now, several months into Bidenâs presidency, he is reportedly telling people that he will be âreinstatedâ as president, as IJR reported.
The New York Timesâ Maggie Haberman tweeted, âTrump has been telling a number of people heâs in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isnât how it works but simply sharing the information).â
As CNN legal analyst Steve Vladeck noted, âThere is no mechanism for âreinstatingâ a former President. There is no procedure for setting a ânew Inauguration Day.â â
Eugene Volokh, a professor at UCLA School of Law, also told CNN that the only way a sitting president can be removed before the end of their term is through impeachment and conviction, resignation, or invoking the 25th Amendment that applies in cases of presidential disability.
