Help for those in the foster care system is on the way after President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday.
The āFostering the Futureā program, which is spearheaded by first lady Melania Trump, ābrings together federal entities, nonprofits, educational institutions, and the private sector to develop those opportunities for foster youth,ā Newsmax reported.
An online centralize site will help help youth connect with key career and educational resources. The will also have more access to vouchers and grants.
āI call on leadership from these various organizations, including the private sector, to join my effort,ā Melania Trump said.
āRise above the ease of inaction,ā she added.
The āFostering the Futureā program is an offshoot of her āBe Bestā campaign that was developed during Trumpās first term.
It offers scholarships to current and former foster youth. Vanderbilt University, the University of Miami, Villanova University and Oral Roberts University are among the participating schools, according to the first ladyās office.
The president, said he was ādelightedā to sign the ordwe. He added the second lady, Usha Vance, was involved in Melania Trumpās effort.
āWeāre going to have absolutely incredible results,ā the president said.

The federal agencies part of the initiative are the Departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development and the Office of Personnel Management.
Melania Trump also thanked the president for his support.
