Former President Donald Trump is not admitting defeat in the 2020 election
During an interview with Fox Newsâ Bret Baier, Trump was asked how he would win back female, independent voters.
âFirst of all, I won in 2020 by a lot. OK? Letâs get that straight. I won in 2020â the former president insisted.
Baier tried to interject to correctly point out he did not win.
However, Trump proceeded to list off a series of words and phrases in a response that was not too coherent.
âYou take a look at Truth the Vote⌠Letâs go to recent, FBI Twitter. Letâs go to recent, the 51 agents,â he said.

Baier suggested the former presidentâs complaints were âall fair thingsâ to talk about, but again stated, âYou lost the 2020 election.â
âUh, Bret⌠uh, you take a look at all of the stuffed ballots, you take a look at all of the thingsâŚâ Trump shot back.
Baier noted there have been several recounts that failed to find evidence of widespread fraud, and his campaignâs lawsuits failed even in front of judges he appointed.
However, the former president insisted there needed to be âreal recounts,â and that people were not really looking for fraud.
When Baier asked Trump if this was a message he planned to use to win back female voters he said, âWeâre off to winning an election, and I think weâre winning very well.â
Trump has some legitimate complaints about Twitterâs crackdown on the story about the Hunter Biden laptop. But a private company preventing information from being shared on its platform is not evidence of widespread fraud in an election, or that the election was somehow unfair.
And speaking in shorthand such as âFBI Twitterâ and â51 agents,â is probably not going to mean much to people who have not been obsessively following politics. Instead, it probably comes off as some incoherent rambling of a 77-year-old man who spends too much time on social media.
People who were looking to hear about why they should vote for Trump would likely be left scratching their heads trying to figure out what âFBI Twitterâ has to do with their lives.
