Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is facing questions after he claimed he almost died in a helicopter crash.
During a press conference on Thursday, Trump insisted he almost perished with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, who dated Vice President Kamala Harris years ago. However, the details of the story are being disputed.
And during an interview with Newsmax on Friday, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was asked about the alleged near-death experience.
“Uh, I would just refer you to President Trump’s statement and what he said yesterday. The president has a lot of amazing stories from his life. As we all know, he was a businessman and a celebrity for decades prior to entering Politics,” Leavitt responded.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “I know Willie Brown very well.”
“In fact, I went down in a helicopter with him,” he continued. “We thought, maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing… This was not a pleasant landing, and Willie was – he was a little concerned.”
According to the Post, Brown was involved in a hard landing in 2004.
