Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard told attendees at the Independent Women’s Forum that those in the “highest positions of power” are denying the truth when refusing to define “woman.”
Gabbard made her comments Thursday evening, after being given the Women’s Forum 2022 Resilience Award, where she went on to say those in power are attempting to bully those who disagree with them, “It is conform or be canceled.”
The former Democrat reiterated the importance of defending what it means to be a woman and called out those who won’t define the term “woman” for ushering in cancel culture and censorship.
“How is it controversial to define what a woman is?” Gabbard asked. “It is the height of hypocrisy for those who claim to be feminists, who claim to be champions for women over decades … to deny that there is such a thing as a woman.”
The women’s forum speaker went on to say, “We have an administration in the White House, and woke politicians in Washington, a Supreme Court justice, who are unable and unwilling to define what a woman is,” seeming to refrence recently confirmed Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson who declined to define what a woman was during her confirmation hearings.
Near the start of her speech, the former lawmaker thanked athletes who are standing up to the re-definition of the terminology of women, saying they are doing a service to women who came before and those who would come after them.
Gabbard made headlines earlier this week when she announced she was leaving the Democratic Party because they were attempting to “ every issue and stoke anti-white racism,” and is “under complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers,” as IJR previously
