The U.S. economy added 147,000Ā nonfarm payroll jobs in June, according to data released Thursday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
Juneās job gains came after the U.S. economy added slightly more jobs than expected in May, the BLS reported. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate changed little in June at 4.1%, from 4.2% in May, according to the BLS.
Ahead of Thursdayās jobs report, economistsā projectedĀ that the U.S. economy added 106,000 jobs in June.
A poll conducted in May by the Job Creators Network Foundation (JCNF), first shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation, found that the majority of small Business owners, 58%, said they felt āoptimisticā that President Donald Trump and his administration will help small businesses. Meanwhile, 41% of respondents said they felt āpessimisticā and 1% responded they were āunsure,ā according to the survey.
The president has vowed to revitalize the U.S. economy during his second term, including vowing to āquickly defeat inflationā and make America more affordable.
