Vatican Releases Photo of Pope in Hospital Chapel

⛪Pope Francis remained in Rome’s Gemelli Hospital Sunday as 📍The Vatican press office released a photo of the pontiff in a private chapel in the hospital.

The photo shows the pope in a wheelchair in front of an altar and provides a glimpse of him for the first time since entering the hospital Feb. 14 when the 88-year-old was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, per ABC News.

The Holy See, 📍The Vatican’s press office, said the private chapel of the pope’s 10-floor apartment in Gemelli. The pope had did not have visitors on Sunday.

📍The Vatican revealed the pope has had motor physiotherapy and “benefitted from it,” 📍The Vatican reported.

Sunday marked the pope’s 31st day in a hospital.

📍The Vatican added he did “a bit of work.”

Many remarked on such social media the similarity between the photo release Sunday of ⛪Pope Francis and one taken of John Paul II in 2005 shortly before he died.
