President Joe Biden took the time during his first network interview in 118 days to joke about sending his political opponents “to jail.”

Biden said during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “I often get asked, ‘The Republicans don’t play it square, why do you play it square?'”

He added, “If we do the same thing they do, our democracy would literally be in jeopardy. That’s not a joke!”

Kimmel replied, “I understand their argument but, also, it’s like you’re playing Monopoly with somebody who won’t pass go or won’t follow any of the rules and how do you ever make any progress if they’re not following the rules?”

Biden responded, referencing the game, “I’ve got to send them to jail.”

Additionally, the president was not afraid to take aim at former President Donald Trump.

Kimmel asked Biden, “When you have sensitive documents that you need to flush down the toilet, is that done in your office toilet, or is that done in the bathroom in the personal bathroom area?”

Biden replied, “I call Trump.”

Biden also criticized Trump after Kimmel asked him why he cannot sign an executive order on guns.

“I have issued executive orders within the power of the presidency to be able to deal with everything having to do with guns and gun ownerships whether or not you have to have a waiting period,” Biden said.

He added, “But, what I don’t want to do, and I’m not being facetious, is emulate Trump’s abuse of the constitution and constitutional authority.”

Commenting on the economy, Biden claimed the United States has the “fastest growing economy in the world. We have 8.6 million new jobs since I got into office. Unemployment rate’s down to 3.6%. We reduced the deficit last year by $320 billion. This year we’re gonna reduce it by $1.7 trillion.”

The appearance came as Biden’s approval rating has hit an all-time low.

According to a new Morning Consult poll, 58% disapprove of Biden’s performance as president.
