A video of former President Donald Trump bashing Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) for endorsing one of his primary opponents is getting a lot of attention, but probably not for the reasons he would like.
On Tuesday, Trump lashed out at Reynolds for endorsing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
“Kim Reynolds of Iowa has gone from a popular governor to the most unpopular governor in the entire United States of America, not an easy feat. Her endorsement of Ron DeSanctimonious — who is down 50 points to me in the polls — has given him exactly zero bounce,” he said.
Trump went on, “He’s a wounded bird falling violently from the sky. I wonder what position Kim was promised in order to back someone who is so far down in the polls.”
He then touted his efforts to help residents of Iowa before attacking DeSantis and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley for doing “absolutely nothing” for Iowa — despite them not being in positions to do so.

Some users on X noted Reynolds easily won re-election in 2022 to dispute his comment about her popularity.
But Trump appeared to be referring to a Morning Consult poll released this month that labeled her “America’s most unpopular governor,” as it noted her disapproval rating had risen to 47%.
The video raises questions about how accurate the polls in Iowa are, and if Trump really believes them. RealClearPolitics’ average of polls shows he holds a nearly 30-point lead over DeSantis in Iowa. But if the polls are to be correct and Reynolds’ endorsement has made no difference, why is he so upset?
