Vice President Kamala Harris is on a roll lately.

In just a few days, she has tackled explaining the definition of culture and the issue of access to transportation.

And on Wednesday, she took up the term AI.

ā€œI think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is, AI is kind of a fancy thing. First of all, it’s two letters,ā€ Harris said.

She added, ā€œIt means artificial intelligence.ā€

Ah yes, the fancy two-letter acronyms, you gotta love them.

It did not take long for conservatives to react to her comments.

The Republican National Committee’s Jake Schneider tweeted, ā€œIt’s like she’s the personification of a broken chatgpt bot.ā€

ā€œWhen you’re giving a book report for a book you haven’t read Part #232,ā€ wrote another user.

Another person asked, ā€œWhy does she address us as if we are 5 years old?ā€

In May, the White House named Harris its ā€œAI czarā€ in its bid to ā€œpromote responsible AI innovation that protects Americans’ rights and safety.ā€

But if the Biden administration was hoping to have a clear communicator who can convince Americans the administration has a grasp on understanding this new technology, they probably could have made a better pick.
