
As negotiations between the United States and Iran break down, the Iranian regime is repositioning.
The Iran war, which began on Feb. 28, has severely damaged many countries in the Middle East. A ceasefire is still in effect; however, the Iranian government has said it will escalate the conflict if the ceasefire is broken.
The Pakistani Ministry of Commerce released an order on Friday that would allow the transport of goods and passengers by road between Pakistan and Iran.
The âTransit of Goods through territory of Pakistan Order 2026â immediately took effect on Friday and will allow Iranian goods to be dropped off at the Pakistani port of Karachi and then transported to Iran on trucks across the border, bypassing the U.S. blockade.
Furthermore, at least 26 Iranian shadow fleet vessels have managed to bypass the U.S. naval blockade that is currently imposed on the Strait of Hormuz, according to reporting by Lloydâs List Intelligence.
âI just cancelled the trip of my representatives going to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with the Iranians,â President Donald Trump announced in a Truth Social post on Saturday. âToo much time wasted on traveling, too much work! Besides which, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their âleadership.â Nobody knows who is in charge, including them. Also, we have all the cards, they have none! If they want to talk, all they have to do is call!!!â
Iranian Vice President Esmaeil Saqab Esfahani warned in a post on X that Iran would retaliate fourfold against U.S. allies if any of Iranâs oil wells were to be targeted, following Trumpâs threat to attack Iranian infrastructure, which he released in a Truth Social post on Easter Sunday.
âTuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,â Trump said in the Truth Social post. âThere will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckinâ Strait, you crazy bastards, or youâll be living in Hell.â
âWe will respond to any act of war,â Esfahani said in the X post. âIf, as Trump claims, any part of our infrastructureâincluding oil wellsâis damaged as a result of the blockade, we guarantee that four times the damage will be inflicted on the same infrastructure in countries that support the aggressor. Our math is different: 1 oil well = 4 oil wellsâ
The White House, the Department of War and the Embassy of Pakistan did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundationâs request for comment.
When asked about the status of the U.S. Naval blockade, CENTCOM referred the DCNF to its press release from April 12, which was used to announce the beginning of the blockade.
Iran offered the U.S. a deal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with the stipulation that nuclear talks would resume later, Axios reported, citing a U.S. official and two sources with knowledge.
âIf they want, they can call us,â Trump said in a phone call with Fox News on Sunday. âBut, again, they know what has to be in the agreement, very simple. They canât have a nuclear weapon, otherwise there is no reason to meet.â
The statement from Trump contradicts the repeated statements from the Iranian regime, which denies the claims of possessing nuclear armaments.
âWe decisively and bravely refrained from it, even though we had the ability,â Ayatollah Khamenei said in remarks published Jan. 7, 2020, on the official website of Iranâs supreme leader. âBoth making and stockpiling atomic bombs are wrongful because using them is forbidden based on religion (haram).â
Representatives of the Iranian regime held a meeting with the sultan of Oman on Sunday, where they discussed the dwindling possibility of continued negotiations.
âThe 40-day imposed war experience against Iran demonstrated that the US military presence in regional countries only leads to insecurity and discord,â Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said during the meeting. âIt is expected that all regional countries adopt a constructive and responsible approach to form endogenous collective security mechanisms free from U.S. interference.â
Israel is ready to resume hostilities, and is merely waiting for âthe green light,â according to a statement from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.
âIsrael is ready to resume the war against Iran â the IDF is prepared both defensively and offensively, and the targets are marked,â Katz said in a recorded statement that was reposted by the Jerusalem Post. â waiting for the green light from the US, first and foremost, to complete the elimination of the Khamenei dynasty and return Iran to the Stone Age ⌠the attack this time will be different and deadly and will add devastating blows to the most painful places â that will shake and collapse its foundations.â
The Iranian regime currently retains a significant amount of its military assets, including 60% of its Navy, about half of its missiles and an undisclosed number of aircraft, according to statements provided by U.S. officials to CBS News.
This reporting is contrary to statements that Trump made during an interview with Fox News.
âWeâve taken out their navy in its entirety,â Trump said during the Fox News interview. âWeâve taken out their air force. They have no air force left. They have no navy left.â
Somalia has also allegedly attempted to influence the ongoing Iran war by declaring that it will target Israeli vessels traversing the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, according to statements by Somaliaâs ambassador to Ethiopia, Abdullah Warfa, reported by the Iran-backed Islamic Republic News Agency. The DCNF reached out to the Embassy of Somalia to confirm these claims, but it did not respond.
âSince the start of Operation Epic Fury, approximately 400 service members have been wounded in action and more than 90% have returned to duty,â CENTCOM told the DCNF. âThirteen service members have been killed in action.â
