Border czar Tom Homan appeared on âHannityâ Wednesday night and listed eight questions for Democrats who traveled to El Salvador to visit illegal migrant Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, asking where theyâve been the past four years.
Since March, Democrats have rallied behind Abrego Garcia after he was deported to El Salvadorâs mega-prison by the Trump administration, with Democrat Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen leading the push for lawmakers to meet with him in Central America. When Fox host Sean Hannity asked Homan if he had a message for the lawmakers â some of whom made the trip on taxpayer dollars âthe border czar said they turned a blind eye to the issue under the Biden-Harris administration.
âWhere were you when thousands of American parents buried their children? They got separated from children forever because they were killed by illegal aliens that entered this country illegally. Thatâs preventable crimes,â Homan said. âWhere were you in the 600% increase in sex trafficking with the Biden administration? Where were you when 10.5 million people came to our borders illegally?â
âWhere were you when millions were released in the United States in defiance of federal law? The law says you come to this country, you come to our borders without proper documentation, you shall be detained. Not released, shall be detained,â Homan added. âWhere were you when they released the millions of people in the United States? Where were you when a record number of people on terrorist watch lists crossed this border and released the United States with no vetting?â
Under the Biden-Harris administration, more than 8 million migrants were encountered at the southern border over the past four fiscal years. The deaths of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, 37-year-old RachelMorin and 22-year-old Laken Riley during the previous administrationâs border crisis shocked Americans as their murder suspects were illegal migrants.

Homan went on to question where Democrats âwereâ when the border crisis fueled the drug influx into the U.S., calling out their silence during the last administration.
âWhere were you when a quarter million Americans died from fentanyl coming across the border, open border, Biden administration?â Homan asked. âWhere were you then? You were silent, which means youâre complicit. You didnât say a word about the violation of laws that put America at great risk. Not just public safety, national security. So where were you then?â
âItâs pathetic and disgusting. They are elected by the people to represent the taxpayers of this country,â Homan added. âWhen you donât care about your constituency, when you donât care about public safety and national security, youâre an embarrassment to the position you hold. Where were you the last four years?â
During a Fox News interview Sunday, Van Hollen said his April 16 trip to El Salvador was paid for by taxpayer dollars. He defended pushing for Abrego Garciaâs release. Despite the Department of Justice releasing documents showing local law enforcement had evidence of Abrego Garciaâs alleged MS-13 ties dating back to 2019, four more Democrat lawmakers traveled to Central America to try to see Van Hollen.
The Supreme Court ruled on April 10 that the Trump administration should âfacilitateâ Abrego Garciaâs ârelease from custody in El Salvadorâ and âensure that his case is handled as it would have beenâ prior to his deportation.
