An 18-year-old woman found fatally shot inside a Boston home owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., has been identified by her family.

According to Fox News, the victim was identified as Yoseliani Marte by her mother through a GoFundMe campaign. Marte's mother said in the fundraiser that her daughter was killed as a "result of domestic violence."

Boston police responded to the home in the Mattapan neighborhood around 1:52 p.m. Saturday. Officers found Marte suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Public records show the property is owned by Conan Harris, who has been married to Pressley since 2014.

The two do not live at the two-family residence, which has been described as a rental property.

The home is currently listed for sale for $1.15 million.

A spokesperson for Pressley's office said neither the congresswoman nor her family was involved in the incident. Pressley also extended her condolences to Marte's family and loved ones.

The shooting stunned neighbors in the normally quiet area, where a large police presence gathered following the incident.

"We got home and there were police coming down the street, they blocked off with crime tape over there and neighbors gathered around," one neighbor said.

"I mean it’s sad, it’s really sad because you know this neighborhood is a wonderful place to be."

Family and friends reportedly gathered Sunday night for a vigil honoring Marte.

Boston police have not officially identified the victim, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
