President Joe Biden admits he makes a “mistake” while speaking “every once in a while.”
During a speech on Tuesday, Biden said, “By the way, the press is always fair with me.”
“But every once in a while, I make a mistake not like, well, once, a speech,” he continued.
He went on to recall, “Years ago, when I started talking for this job, I said, ‘Please take your seats.’ There weren’t any seats. Everyone was standing. There were no chairs.”

The president then proceeded to deliver a couple of gaffes.
At one point during his remarks, Biden sought to highlight the importance of the United States’ military assistance to Ukraine.
“Just a few days ago, The Wall Street Journal quoted a young Hungarian fighter saying, and I quote, ‘Without the javelins, it would have been very hard to stop the enemy pushing ahead.’ End of quote,” Biden said.

The New York Post reports, “The Journal’s report actually quoted a private first class named Oleksandr in Ukraine’s 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade.”
“The article does not identify him as Hungarian,” it added.
And a separate point in the speech, Biden said, “Before Russia attacked, we made sure Russia had javelins and other weapons to strengthen their defenses, so Ukraine was ready for whatever happened.”

Last week, Biden was roasted after he stumbled a few words in remarks about steps the U.S. is taking to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, as IJR reported.
He spoke about a move that will “enhance our underlying effort to accommodate the Russian oligarchs and make sure we take their ill-begotten gains.”
Apparently realizing the slip-up, Biden chuckled then said, “We’re going to accommodate them. We’re going to seize their yachts, their luxury homes, and other ill-begotten gains of Putin’s kleptoc…uh…yeah.”
He paused for a few seconds to reset, then continued, “Kleptocracy…klep…the guys who are the kleptocracies.”
