President Joe Biden is defending his memory after a shocking report by Special Counsel Robert Hur.
On Thursday, Hur released a report about his investigation into the presidentās handling of classified documents. The report noted that there were no charges recommended, but provided shocking claims about the limitation of Bidenās memory ā including that he did not know when he was vice president.
Hours later, the president delivered remarks in response to the report.
Fox Newsā Peter Doocy asked, āHow bad is your memory? Can you continue as president?ā
āMy memory is so bad I let you speakā¦my memory is fine,ā Biden responded.
Meanwhile, another reporter said, āMany American people have been watching and they have expressed concerns about your ageā¦ā
āThat is your judgment! That is your judgment! That is not the judgment of the press,ā Biden responded.
But moments later, Biden mixed up the countries of Egypt and Mexico.
When asked about Israelās war against Hamas, the president said, āThe conduct of the response in the Gaza Strip has been over the top.ā
āAs you know, initially the president of Mexico ā Sisi ā did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in. I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate,ā Biden added.
Biden appeared to be referring to Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is the president of Egypt ā not Mexico.
