President Joe Biden does not appear to think highly of fans of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Associated Press White House Correspondent Zeke Miller posted the report on the president’s comments about the team’s fans on Twitter.
“Biden tells Crist donors that his wife couldn’t be in Florida because of the World Series. Adds ‘Phillies fans are the most virulent, obnoxious fans in the world’ and says if he didn’t root for Philly teams he’d be ‘sleeping alone,'” Miller tweeted.
The president attended a fundraiser for Florida gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist on Tuesday.

First Lady Jill Biden is a Phillies fan and is expected to attend Game 4 of the World Series on Wednesday as the team continues to battle the Houston Astros for the title.
Major League Baseball will reportedly honor those impacted by cancer.
Joe Biden has previously declared his wife the Phillies’ “most rabid” fan.
The first lady shared with ABC News her memories of watching the team when she was younger.
“I was a little girl,” she said.
Jill Biden added, “It was a great father/daughter memory for me.”
The president visited Philadelphia on Friday to warn voters against voting Republican.
“Eleven days until the most important by-election in our lifetime; that’s not hyperbole,” Joe Biden said.
He added, “It’s going to shape what this country looks like for next decade or more. Not a joke. Let’s be clear. This election is not a referendum, it’s a choice. A choice between two vastly different visions of America.”
Joe Biden also took aim at Republicans for opposing his student loan forgiveness plan.
“They’re attacking middle class Americans getting a $10,000 break on the cost of their tuition? Give me a break, man. Who do they think they are?” he said.
Additionally, CNN noted during his speech he pulled up his pantleg to show off a red Phillies sock.
