President Joe Biden is traveling to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his annual physical exam.

On Wednesday, Biden was seen leaving the White House and told reporters he was going to get his physical, which he was received every year he has been president.

In Feb. 2023, Biden received a physical examination which stated he is “healthy” and “vigorous.”

Dr. Kevin O’Connor stated at the time that he is “fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency.”

Additionally, an “extremely detailed” neurologic exam did not reveal finds consistent with stroke, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease.

Biden’s physical on Wednesday comes as he has roughly eight months before the general election. And after Special Counsel Robert Hur’s released a damaging assessment of Biden’s memory in his report about his investigation of the president’s handling of classified documents.

“In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden’s memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (‘if it was 2013 – when did I stop being Vice President?’), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (‘in 2009, am I still Vice President?’)” Hur’s report stated.

It added:

“He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he ‘had a real difference’ of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.”

After the report, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden’s physical would not include a cognitive test.

“”I’m just gonna say what Dr. O’Connor said to me about a year ago when [Biden’s physical] was released,” she answered when asked if the president would take such a test. “The president proves every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks, by dealing with world leaders, by making difficult decisions on behalf of the American people – whether it’s domestic or it’s national security.”

Jean-Pierre added, “That is how Dr. O’Connor sees it, and that is how I’m going to leave it.”
