Graphic body camera footage filmed in the aftermath of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump was released Tuesday.

The footage includes a Secret Service agent along with police officer on the roof where 20-year-old Thomas Crooks fired shots intended for Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to Mediaite.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) posted on X, formerly Twitter, the body camera footage his office received from Beaver County Emergency Services.

His post included a “sensitive content” warning because Crooks’ body was visible even though most of his body, except for his legs, is blurred out. The footage also showed blood coming from Crooks’ dead body.

At just over three minutes long, the video is of a Secret Service agent and local law enforcement talking in an effort to determine what threat remained after the shooting.

Crooks, who resided in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, had a varied political background, Mediaite reported.

He was a registered Republican, but also donated $15 to a Democratic fundraising website.

On July 13, one audience member was killed at the rally and two others were critically injured. Trump’s right ear was grazed by a bullet.

Crooks was killed by Secret Service snipers shortyly after fired off his shots.

After being shot, Trump was rushed off stage by Secret Service agents.

Before he was put into an awaiting vehicle, Trump raised a fist and said, “Fight.”

The Secret Service has been criticized for the shooting with many viewing it as a failure in security.

Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle resigned Tuesday, a day after a congressional hearing where she was interrogated.

When Trump gave a speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, he said he would only tell what happened July 13 once since it is “too painful.”
