Big Bruno is the final boss of Capital K.O. — a mountain of green muscle in torn purple trunks whose two-handed BULK SMASH has flattened every heavyweight foolish enough to stand still. Nobody knows why Bruno is green, and after thirty-one demolitions nobody has asked twice. ('A spinach situation.' Next question.) What the highlight reels miss is how he got here: Bruno came up through the small halls as a technician — a jab-and-footwork purist who studied film until the projector overheated — and discovered that crowds do not chant for technicians. So he built the roar, the flex, the third-person thunder, and the BULK SMASH, and the crowds came. The film study never stopped; it just moved backstage.
