Lansing's Grand River Park Draws MSU Rowers and Wildlife

Lansing’s 20-acre Grand River Park offers direct access to the river for boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing, with launch ramps, docks and a designated fishing dock. Visitors can also enjoy wooded trails, open picnic areas and river overlooks, while wildlife such as herons, deer, ducks and wild turkeys can be spotted around the park. The park has restrooms, ample parking and space for boat trailers, and welcomes leashed dogs. Michigan State University’s women’s rowing team trains there, and the Lansing Boat Club operates a boathouse with rental slips.
