24 Arrested as Far-Right Protest Turns Violent in Hague

Dutch riot police broke up an anti-immigration demonstration in The Hague after several hundred far-right protesters threw fireworks, smoke bombs and other objects at officers. Police used dogs, batons and pepper spray to clear the Malieveld and made 24 arrests, according to local authorities. Protesters reportedly displayed Nazi salutes and racist or antisemitic slogans, prompting officials to cancel a planned march through the city.
