31 Rowcroft Supporters Reach Kilimanjaro Summit, Raise £113,000
A 31-member team from South Devon reached Mount Kilimanjaro’s 5,895-meter Uhuru Peak after a seven-day trek, raising £113,000 for Rowcroft Hospice, which supports people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The group included 15-year-old Andrew Morgan, who climbed with his parents and said the team’s mutual support helped them manage the demanding altitude. Separately, Tanzanian tour operator Almighty Kilimanjaro is marking 12 years of guiding expeditions and reports that 88% of its clients reach the summit, crediting route planning, experienced guides, steady pacing and careful monitoring of climbers for its results.
