93% of Parents Recreate Childhood Holiday Traditions
Many parents feel nostalgic for childhood holidays: a survey found 81% wish they could relive them, and 93% say they recreate some of those traditions with their own children. Parents especially miss family rituals, home-cooked recipes and time together, but family traditions naturally change as children grow and households evolve. Therapists say it is normal to grieve traditions that end, while open family conversations can help everyone adjust and create new rituals that fit their lives. Parents can also ease holiday pressure by scaling back hosting and decorations; focusing less on perfection may leave more room to enjoy time with loved ones.
