AFC Playoff Picture: Texans Remain in Hunt

The Texans’ playoff chances remain precarious, with one report saying Houston needed a win over the Chargers to stay in the AFC conversation and pointing to upcoming games against Cleveland, Indianapolis and Tennessee as opportunities to revive its season. During the bye week, the team’s path also depended on divisional rivals losing, while coaches used the break for a self-scout and preparation. Coach DeMeco Ryans and others remained hopeful about a late-season run, citing the remaining schedule and Tank Dell’s return as potential boosts.
