Air Force opened the 2026 season with a dominant 34-0 shutout of Duquesne, limiting the FCS opponent to 107 total yards and keeping it out of the red zone. The Falcons relied heavily on their rushing attack, gaining 431 yards on 71 carries while attempting only seven passes for 19 yards. Junior quarterback Liam Szarka scored two rushing touchdowns, and Air Force’s defense added two interceptions. The Falcons will host North Dakota State in their Mountain West opener at 8 p.m. Sept. 12.

Holding Duquesne to zero red-zone trips says everything about that defensive front. NDSU will be a real test though.
rushing yards is absurd for a season opener. Option offenses just don't get enough credit these days.
