Airlines plan expanded US, Asia nonstop routes

Airlines are adding new nonstop service involving Austin in 2027. Delta plans daily flights between Northwest Arkansas National Airport and Austin beginning March 8, while Alaska Airlines will offer Saturday-only seasonal service between Austin and Anchorage from June 12 through August 7. Alaska’s broader expansion from Anchorage also includes seasonal flights to Dallas-Fort Worth and Nashville, plus service to Tokyo Narita. The new routes will give travelers additional direct connections, though Alaska’s announced services are subject to government approval.
