Alabama Woman Charged Over Alleged Threat to Trump
Megan Lorraine Utz, 36, has been charged in federal court with threatening the president and transmitting a threatening communication across state lines after allegedly posting on Facebook that she would shoot President Donald Trump if he attended the Alabama-Georgia football game in Tuscaloosa. The post prompted an investigation involving the FBI, Secret Service and local police; investigators say account records and photographs helped identify Utz. Florence police arrested her Oct. 6 on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for harassing communications, and authorities seized her phone. The federal charges are allegations, and the case remains subject to court proceedings.
