Algeria Holds Energy Day at Americas LNG Summit in Louisiana
Algeria sent a high-level delegation to the Americas LNG Summit and Exhibition in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where it also held its 19th Algerian Energy Day. The summit brought together industry companies and professionals for networking, while a report on British Columbia’s LNG sector argues that employment and economic benefits extend well beyond terminal payrolls to gas production, pipelines, construction, suppliers and related exports. LNG Canada’s planned second phase is expected to generate thousands of construction jobs, alongside projects under way or planned elsewhere in the province. Separately, GAIL Gas leadership reviewed progress on an LNG station and wider clean-fuel access in India’s Agra region.
