Alkane reports A$440 million, pays maiden dividend
Alkane Resources reported 40,740 gold-equivalent ounces of production in the September 2026 quarter, generating A$206 million in revenue and A$102 million in mine operating cash flow. All-in sustaining costs were A$2,805 per ounce, below the company’s FY27 guidance range of A$2,900–A$3,200, and Alkane reaffirmed production guidance of 163,000–177,000 gold-equivalent ounces. It ended the quarter with A$440 million in cash and bullion, paid its first fully franked dividend of 2 cents per share, and approved a A$50 million share buyback. Results varied across its mines: Tomingley set monthly mining and processing records, Björkdal’s costs improved, while Costerfield faced lower grades and challenging ground conditions that raised costs and reduced output. Development continued on the Tomingley highway realignment and the Storheden portal at Björkdal; Alkane also expects A$55 million to A$60 million in FY26 tax payments in the December quarter.
