All My Children Actor Alan Dysert Dies at 75 After Cancer Revelation

Alan Dysert, best known for playing Sean Cudahy on the ABC soap opera All My Children, died at 75 on Oct. 23, 2026, his wife, Michele, announced. He appeared in 79 episodes of the series from 1980 to 1990 and also worked as an actor, musician, writer, filmmaker, producer and acting teacher. Michele did not disclose a cause of death, but Dysert wrote in his 2023 autobiography that he had a rare, aggressive and incurable cancer and had undergone multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. In her tribute, Michele remembered him as her best friend and said he faced health challenges with humor, determination and gratitude.
