Allegiant expands Boeing 737 MAX order to 56
Allegiant Air has exercised its first six options under a 2021 Boeing agreement, ordering 737-8 aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2028. The order brings its firm commitment to 56 aircraft, with 22 delivered so far, and leaves 74 options available; the six jets have a combined list price of more than $720 million, before discounts and price adjustments. The purchase advances Allegiant’s fleet renewal, shifting the airline from its long-standing reliance on Airbus narrowbodies toward Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
