Ameren Raises 2026 Guidance After Q3 Beat
Ameren reported third-quarter 2026 earnings of $2.42 per share, up from $2.35 a year earlier and above analyst expectations, while revenue rose 6.8% to $2.88 billion. Higher returns from infrastructure investments and stronger Missouri electricity sales, partly associated with warmer weather, outweighed increased maintenance and reliability-related costs. The utility raised its 2026 earnings guidance to $5.35–$5.55 per share and set 2027 guidance at $5.70–$5.90, with a projected 8%–10% annual earnings growth rate through 2031. Ameren plans $38.1 billion in infrastructure investment to expand its rate base and meet rising demand, including from large customers and data centers, though the growth outlook depends in part on that anticipated demand materializing. The company also expects to increase its dividend, targeting a payout of 45%–55% of annual earnings.
