Analysts Propose Eagles-49ers Trades
Two trade scenarios involving the Eagles and 49ers have been floated as the NFL deadline approaches. With Jalen Hurts expected to miss the rest of the season because of blood clots, Philadelphia could pursue backup quarterback Mac Jones, with one proposal sending San Francisco a second-round pick; the idea is framed as a short-term bid to stay competitive, though its cost and long-term value have been questioned. Jones is set to become a free agent after the season, which could make San Francisco willing to consider a deal. In the other direction, analysts have suggested the 49ers acquire Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo to bolster a defensive line affected by injuries, proposing mid-to-late-round draft picks, potentially including a conditional third-rounder. Ojomo’s pass-rush production and impending free agency are cited as reasons he could appeal to San Francisco and be available from Philadelphia.
