ANC Posts Worst-Ever Election Showing
Recent election results point to shifting political dynamics in both South Africa and Sioux Falls. South Africa’s ANC suffered its worst-ever electoral performance, winning more than half the vote in only Limpopo, while the MK Party dominated KwaZulu-Natal despite internal turmoil. In Sioux Falls, precinct analysis found a political divide between a more Democratic-leaning city core and a more Republican-leaning outer ring; Republican-leaning precincts generally had higher turnout, even as statewide general-election turnout was historically low.
