Anna Sui’s 100-Plus Looks Debut in Bloomfield Hills
Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills has opened “The World of Anna Sui,” a homecoming exhibition featuring more than 100 pieces from the Detroit-born designer’s archive and tracing more than three decades of her work. Organized around 12 recurring style archetypes, the show explores influences including music, vintage fashion and Sui’s childhood in metro Detroit, where visits to Hudson’s fabric counters helped inspire her ambitions. The exhibition also includes a dress worn by Olivia Rodrigo and a uniform created for Third Man Records, connecting Sui’s distinctive designs with contemporary pop culture. It runs through Feb. 28, 2027.
