Anthony Gordon Scores First Barcelona Goal
Anthony Gordon scored his first Barcelona goal after 78 seconds, finishing low and deflected under David Soria after beating three challenges, as Barcelona beat Getafe 3-0. Gabriel Jesus added a second in the 30th minute when Zaid Romero lost the ball in his own box. Jules Kounde tucked in a third in the 73rd minute from Lamine Yamal's cross, on a record 194th appearance by a French player for Barca, overtaking Eric Abidal. The win left Hansi Flick's side with eight straight league victories and nine wins from nine across competitions. Barcelona moved five points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid, who won 2-1 at Alaves, and nine points ahead of fourth-placed Real Madrid before Madrid hosts Villarreal. Raphinha was absent after a hamstring or thigh problem from Brazil duty; Gordon had impressed for Thomas Tuchel's England side over the international break. Jose Bordalas's Getafe were beaten at Camp Nou. CONTESTED: nothing contested in the record.
