Anthropic Launches Claude for Financial Advisors
Anthropic launched Claude for Financial Advisors on Monday, September 14, 2026, connecting its chatbot to portfolio and wealth-management software many advisers already use. Partners named in the rollout include BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com and Zocks. The system is built to support research, meeting preparation, portfolio reviews, documentation, prospect intake and compliance screening, while investment recommendations, client communications and other consequential decisions stay subject to human approval. Anthropic recommends its Enterprise plan for advisory firms because of audit-log and recordkeeping capabilities, and BlackRock is introducing a separate plugin for its Advisor Center platform. The timing places the release days after OpenAI introduced an industry version of ChatGPT aimed at investment bankers and equity researchers. Reuters credited reporting to Harshita Mary Varghese in Bengaluru, edited by Jonathan Ananda. Unreleased mobile-app interfaces indicate Anthropic is also testing a consumer-facing Claude Money feature. That tool would let users link bank accounts and ask about spending, recurring payments, balances and financial trends without manually uploading statements. Its data provider, security practices, supported account types and launch timing are unknown, and no equivalent web version has been identified.
