Apple festivals draw crowds, support local causes
Communities are celebrating fall with apple and seasonal festivals that bring families together while supporting local causes. In Tennessee, Washington Presbyterian Church’s 48th annual Apple Festival drew thousands, with proceeds going to the church’s community mission work. Cleveland’s 24th annual Apple Festival features food, vendors and family activities, with net proceeds benefiting area nonprofits, while Lanse’s 10th Apple Fest raised money for upkeep and improvements at Martha’s Park. A fall festival at William S. Covert Elementary in Rockville Centre combines family activities with efforts to help neighbors in need. The Hudson Valley Renegades also announced the return of Big Apples Fest, a free family event scheduled for Oct. 17, 2026, at Heritage Financial Park.
