Apple Supplier Luxshare Faces US Patent Probe
The U.S. International Trade Commission has opened a preliminary Section 337 investigation into Apple supplier Luxshare Precision Industry and a subsidiary over Vicor Corp.’s patent-infringement allegations involving vertical power-delivery systems and related data-center technologies. The ITC has made no substantive findings, and Luxshare says the products under scrutiny have not entered mass production, so it expects little effect on its operations or near-term results. Luxshare is reviewing the patents and products and organizing technical, legal and business teams to respond, while coordinating with customers and supply-chain partners.
