Arizona Democrat Reports Antisemitic Death Threats

Tammy Caputi, a Jewish Democrat running for Arizona’s House District 4, says her campaign received antisemitic death threats targeting her and her family, including messages warning her to quit the race and threatening to kill them. Caputi said the threats put her daughters, relatives and campaign volunteers at risk, and her campaign reported them to law enforcement. Scottsdale police confirmed receiving reports about threats and said an investigation is ongoing. The threats come amid other reported incidents involving Arizona political figures, including an assault on another Democratic candidate and a suspicious powder-filled envelope sent to the secretary of state’s office.
