Arkansas Revenue Exceeds Forecast by $153.7 Million
Arkansas collected $2.48 billion in net available general revenue during the first four months of fiscal 2027, $153.7 million above forecast and 9.5% higher than the same period a year earlier. In October, net available revenue reached $570.6 million, up 13.3% year over year, while gross revenue totaled $692.5 million, up 10%. Sales taxes were a major contributor: October collections rose 8.3%, with growth in sectors including manufacturing, construction, utilities, and food and accommodation services. Individual income tax collections also increased, though officials said the year-over-year comparison was affected by disaster-related filing extensions that shifted some 2025 payments into later months; corporate income tax collections rose sharply as well.
