Arkansas Shoots Six-Under at East Lake Cup
No. 20 Arkansas opened the East Lake Cup with a 6-under-par round, sitting two shots behind Southern California and three ahead of Eastern Michigan. Senior Maria Jose Marin led the field at 5-under 67, while Sara Brentcheneff shot 2-under 70; Natalie Blonien finished even par. The tournament began with stroke play and moves to match play in the second round, with the winners advancing to compete for the cup. Arkansas entered the event after placing fifth at The Fin, where Swetha Sathish tied for fourth, Marin tied for seventh and Brentcheneff tied for 10th. The Razorbacks have finished in the top five at every tournament this fall, including a runner-up finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
